the northstar academy
Founded by Francois Devereux in 1965 in upstate New York, bordering on Vermont, The Northstar Academy is a special institute for those "mutants" of the population to learn to harness their powers and to promote a healthy human and mutant relationship, along with providing a safe haven for mutants cast out from their families or communities.
Mutants of all ages are welcome at the academy, and k-12 schooling is taught alongside the ability to control and use their powers. The Academy comfortably houses up to 50 students at any one time, with cordoned off quarters for the teachers and adults who also make the mansion their home. Room and board has remained entirely free since opening, and there has never been, nor will there ever be, tuition charged. Set on a hundred sprawling acres, there is no shortage of space for any mutant to practice their skills, or for a youngster to find quiet and solace away from the busy school.
After age 15, if a student begins to show interest and aptitude in heroics, they can begin to take on more rigorous training courses in hopes of one day becoming a part of Deverux's trusted cabal. An elite squad of mutants who rise to the challenges of villains, evil and even confronting human prejudice, a spot on the team is an honor for any student growing up at Northstar. our version of xavier's school for the gifted

a collection of roguish collaborators, the underworld is comprised of independent villains who frequently come together to accomplish larger scale heists and chaos before returning to their individual agendas. the underworld's pact is a loose one and at the end of the day, it's always every villain for themselves.
